Mask mandate issued to residents
All Residents,
On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf issued a mandate that all residents are now required to wear face masks whenever they are out in public and can’t maintain social-distance from others in an effort to slow the resurgence of COVID-19.
Under the new rule, residents must wear masks whenever they are in indoor public spaces, waiting for or riding mass transit, and whenever interacting with the public. This also includes outside public space where it’s not possible to remain 6 feet away from others.
In turn, Westmoreland County Housing Authority (WCHA) is instituting strict requirements that all residents wear face masks when leaving their apartments and are to keep wearing masks even outdoors when you cannot properly social distance.
Please do what is right! The virus is real! Protect others including residents, family members and staff, and protect yourself! Please!
Your cooperation is needed!
