WCHA schedules public hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Westmoreland County Housing Authority (WCHA) is amending its Section 8 HCV Administrative Plan (Admin Plan) and Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP), including other applicable documents, in accordance with the final rule issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) implementing the requirements of Section 102 & 104 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) which was published in the Federal Register (88 FR 9600).  This change affects residents of the WCHA’s Low-Income Public Housing Program, Housing Choice Voucher Program, and Project-Based Voucher Program.  While some of the policies must be implemented by July 1, 2025, others will occur at a later date to be established by HUD.

A public hearing to discuss the amendment to the Admin Plan and ACOP is scheduled for June 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the WCHA offices located at 167 South Greengate Road, Greensburg, PA  15601.  A copy of the revisions is available by clicking the site below.

Public comments on this change in policies will be accepted in writing and addressed to WCHA Public Comment, 167 South Greengate Road, Greensburg, PA  15601. Comments must be received no later than 1:00 p.m. June 16, 2025.
